My beloved Nicholas. My very first grandson. As the oldest son he often has the responsibility to look out after his brothers. In particular he watches out for "Baby James" upon occasions. So once in awhile he is entitled to go into the larder and get himself some chips. Besides he is growing so tall and strong he needs some sustenance. I love him thisssssss much!
Nicholas is so smart! From the time he was a baby he began to teach himself to read. Before he entered first grade he was reading Harry Potter because he is such a Harry Potter fan. I will never forget his spending thirteen hours in a row one Christmas to build the "Millennium Falcon." He was only four and a half years old and he built the entire model with only a few minutes of help on one small piece from his father. The box was marked twelve years and older. I realized I could not do it even at sixty three. Wow! Nicholas and Luke often read and build models together.
Nicholas the athlete! What a passion he has for baseball and soccer. Every morning he gets up before the rest of the family to pick up the Washington Post. Then he reads the sports page so he knows who has won what games. He knows so much about baseball that Grandma Susan thinks he may be a sports writer someday, or maybe an announcer on TV. How much I love this boy
